God Is With You In The Trouble

(1) God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (2) Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, (3) though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Selah (4) There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. (5) God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. (6) Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. (7) The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah. Psalm 46:1-7

I don’t know about you, but in times past I feared that God had left me when troubles came into my life. I’ve learned better, but I have also observed that there are many who still think that way. “What did I do wrong?” “Where was God when I needed Him?” “Why did God let this happen to me?” These are all questions that identify where we are with this issue.

So, here is the truth of the matter. No matter what happens in our lives, God is right there with you in the midst of your troubles. It was not God who told us that He would fix every situation in our lives that brought us grief. It was man who came up with that. As a matter of fact, God allows troubles in our lives to make us stronger. But, even though He allows it, He is right there with us during the whole process.

“The LORD ALMIGHTY is with us…” And whatever we say, do, or think, He is our fortress and shield. No matter what happens in our lives, God is right there with us. He will never leave or forsake us. What a comfort.

If God is in the city of your life, the city will not fall. So God calls us to brace up and take it like people who really believe in Him and He will see us through. There is no day, hour, or circumstance when God is not there.

So, when the waters of troubles roar and the floods overwhelm us, we should remember without fail, that God is with us in the trouble.
